What happens once I register with Sure Start?

Depending on which service you are interested in, a relevant team member will contact you, usually by phone in the first place, to discuss the options open to you and your family at EBSS.

They may arrange to visit you at home to assess your needs in more detail, identify the most appropriate service for you and your family, offer a place in one of our parenting/support groups, organise a place for your child/ren in one of our early years settings or signpost you to specialist services.

Your details and those of your child/ren will be entered onto our data information system where attendance at the Sure Start programme will be recorded. Using the information from the database you will also be informed of upcoming activities and events either by letter or invitation.
